Hair Removal
Over centuries many Laser Hair removal techniques, including waxing, sugaring, threading, plucking, shaving etc, have been developed to deal with this problem. All of these solutions are short term solutions and many bring with them a range of other problems such as in growing hairs, spots and rashes to name but a few.
IPL and laser hair removal works by a process of rapid heating of the hair follicle which destroys the hair shaft and the stem cells therein.
Normal hair grows in three distinct phases:
Anagen—the active growth phase
Catagen—where growth is finished but the hair continues to be nourished
Telogen—when the hair detaches from the papilla and falls out
IPL and p hair removal can only be effective during the anagen phase of hair growth. Because of this, repeated hair removal treatments treatments are necessary to clear all hair growth.
atest developments in the field include IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) and laser technology which give a more long term solution to the problem, without the more unpleasant side effects of the treatments listed above. Hair can be successfully removed for periods of up to several years.

Because light energy is absorbed by the melanin (colour pigment) in the hair, blonde and grey/white hair removal is rarely successful.
Asian and darker skin types can now often be successfully treated, although very dark skin types may still not be suitable for treatment.
BOTOX
Botox can simply, safely and effectively improve frown lines, forehead creases and crows feet. The procedure can have remarkable results in improving the wrinkles resulting from hyperactive facial muscles.
Botox is such a convenient, controlled and affordable procedure. It can be carried out in a lunch hour and requires no anaesthetic or recovery time. Many patients pop in for a treatment before special occasions!
A Botox Treatment should normally last for about six months and can be repeated when necessary. Most patients find they require less frequent follow-up sessions over time, as their immobilised muscles ‘retrain’ and weaken from disuse – thus becoming unable to create or reinforce frown lines.
Precise, Expert, Surgical Treatment
Tiny amounts of Botox are expertly injected with a very fine needle – to painlessly freeze the facial muscles that cause lines. After the injection, the muscles will relax and the skin will smooth out over a few days. The result is a safer, more relaxed and pleasing appearance.
Botox treatments are often accompanied with the use of Restylane or Dermal ‘fillers’, which will ‘plump up’ the lines between the inactive muscles. Botox can also be very effective in enhancing the results of the N-Lite laser treatment for natural collagen production – and may be used with glycolic peels.
Our expert practitioners will be able to give you complete guidance in all such combination procedures.
Our expertise in today’s modern surgery techniques, combined with our continual investment in the latest state of the art equipment, allows every suitable procedure to be completed on a convenient day-surgery basis.

July 30 2008, 12:11 PM
At the London Day Cosmetic Surgery Centre we can offer consultations for a wide range of wide range of improving treatments which can have a profound affect by changing the way a person looks and perceives themselves. Discreet facial aesthetic surgery, body contouring, liposculpture, Breast Cosmetic Surgery, facial aesthetic surgery and anti-ageing procedures can be conducted, as can reconstructive procedures made necessary by cancer, congenital deformities, trauma and injury.
Blepharoplasty/Eyelid Reduction
Ageing of the upper and lower eyelids is normally due to a combination of loose skin and protrusion of fat. This is a common problem and although most patients seeking such surgery are 40 or older, puffy eyes may be a familial trait and patients will seek help at a much younger age. In the upper eyelids ageing causes stretching of the eyelid skin producing a “hooded” Appearance. These changes can give the appearance of tiredness and many patients request Cosmetic Surgery for this reason.
The Tooth and its Surrounding Tissues
Teeth are not solid objects; they have a space at their centre containing blood vessels and nerves called the dental pulp. This pulp tissue nourishes the tooth.
What are Dental Implants ?
Dental Implants are small, tissue-compatible titanium fixtures, which are inserted into the jawbone. After a period of natural bonding, the implants serve as the 'root' anchor for new superstructure crowns bridges or dentures.
Aetiology
The major cause of gingivitis is the accumulation of bacteria at the gum line in the form of a sticky, yellowish film which is called dental plaque. If left undisturbed, bacterial plaque calcifies to form dental calculus (tartar).
